It's nice to get in the same room with your mentee/mentor and discuss things that may be felt to be "assumed" about the mentee-mentor relationship. That made this exercise useful for me. I'd think probably useful to review it once a year.

This is a total fan letter. The newsletter is absolutely fabulous! I almost always end up forwarding it to colleagues or to my former PhD students who are now early in faculty positions and a couple early career faculty I mentor at other universities. I have also used some articles for my Prosem 1 class for entering doc students. The articles are great, innovative and accurate ( in my experience).
