We’re so glad you want to share your grant with junior colleagues at Vanderbilt!
Ideally we would like to receive your entire grant and summary statements, including both original and resubmission if the grant was funded on resubmission. But if you would prefer not to share the whole thing, we are more than happy to accept whichever pieces you would like to donate. We always black out salary information from budgets.
For sending grant files, you have multiple options:
If you are at VUMC:
- Rebecca can download the large PDF with all the documents of your grant in it from eCommons if the grant was submitted at VUMC. Just tell her the grant title or grant number.
- If you don’t want to donate your entire grant, please email Rebecca (rebecca.helton@vumc.org) the parts you would like to share. Any format is fine; you can send as a single document or as multiple pieces.
- If you are donating summary statements, please collect them from eCommons and email to Rebecca.
If you are at VU or Meharry:
- Email your grant file(s) directly to Rebecca (rebecca.helton@vumc.org). The single PDF from eCommons works great, but if you only want to submit parts, you can do that too. Any format is fine; you can send as a single document or as multiple pieces.
- If you are donating summary statements, please collect them from eCommons and email to Rebecca along with your grant file.
Rebecca will upload your grant to the library typically within one week. Once it is uploaded, you can view a list of who accesses your grant(s) by clicking “Use Statistics” in the sidebar of any library page. (This is only visible to those who have donated grants.)
