What is a QPR Gatekeeper?

A QPR gatekeeper is someone in a position to recognize a crisis and the warning signs that someone may be contemplating suicide.

What do Certified Gatekeepers do?
  • Recognize suicide risk factors, common stressors, and warning signs
  • Understand suicide as a public health issue
  • Apply QPR to support someone at risk
  • Locate and refer to resources within Vanderbilt
