How it Works
Browse the Library

Visit the library.

Email Adrienne Babcock adrienne.babcock@vumc.org and include book titles and your campus address.

Receive your book

Your book will be sent via campus mail.

Return your book

Return your book in the supplied envelope via campus mail or at any Edge for Scholars in-person event.

Two books at a time, but we can make an exception for you.

After you check out your first book, we will create an account so you can use the online system or continue to check out books via email.

To browse and place holds online. Visit the Edge Library

  1. Click on the book you want and select Add Hold.
  2. A toolbar will appear at the bottom of the screen. Select Place Hold.
  3. Once you have placed all books desired on hold, click COMPLETE.
  4. Log in using your email address and password (if you need a password, please click “email password” and, after receipt, log in with this information.
  5. Your hold will be confirmed via email.
  6. The book(s) will be sent to your campus address with a return envelope to assist in returning the book to the library.
