Trainee Requirements
·      Pre-doctoral trainee in one of the following graduate programs: Biomedical Informatics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Health Policy, or Human Genetics
·      Research must be translational
·      US Citizen or Permanent Resident
Nominations Packets Must Include
·      CV of the Trainee nominated
·      Mentor Biosketch
·      Nomination letter
Required Training Program Activities
·      Attend Weekly Edge Work-in-Progress sessions, presenting at least four times a year
·      Participate in Edge Career Development Seminars
·      Submit abstract to and attend Vanderbilt’s Translational Research Forum each year
·      Submit abstract to and attend annually the national Translational Science meeting
·      Have formal mentor panel meetings at least twice each year
·      Complete a minimum of eight hours each year of RCR activities that include at least three modalities
·      Submit annual progress report
Financial Support
·      $28,224 stipend
·      $16,000 tuition
·      $4750 training related expenses (i.e. health insurance and student fees)
·      $3000 for support of childcare expenses for qualifying individuals
·      Travel grant to attend national Translational Science meeting
·      Flexible appointment start date
