Trainee Requirements
- Pre-doctoral trainee in one of the following graduate programs: Biomedical Informatics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Health Policy, or Human Genetics
- Research must be translational
- US Citizen or Permanent Resident
Nominations Packets Must Include
- CV of the Trainee nominated
- Mentor Biosketch
- Nomination letter
Required Training Program Activities
- Attend Weekly Edge Work-in-Progress sessions, presenting at least four times a year
- Participate in Edge Career Development Seminars
- Submit abstract to and attend Vanderbilt’s Translational Science and Research Forum each year (February)
- Submit abstract to and attend the national Translational Science meeting each year (April)
- Have formal mentor panel meetings at least twice each year
- Complete a minimum of eight hours each year of RCR activities that include at least three modalities
- Submit annual progress report
Financial Support
- $28,224 stipend
- $16,000 tuition
- $4750 training related expenses (i.e. health insurance and student fees)
- $3000 for support of childcare expenses for qualifying individuals
- Travel grant to attend national Translational Science meeting
- Flexible appointment start date
